Marco V staat al meer dan twee decennia aan de top van de wereldwijde technotrancebeweging en zijn onbetwiste positie van de 'techier side' van de Nederlandse dancemuziek blijft stijgen. Marco's Southside Spinners-project, samen met Benjamin Bates, explodeerde in de opkomende scene op zowel nationaal- als internationaal niveau en bracht destijds de succesvol verworven hit 'Luvstruck' onder de aandacht.

Dit, en latere releases als 'Simulated' en 'Godd', waren baanbrekende tracks die leidde tot het inspireren van een nieuwe generatie DJ's/producers. Marco streefde er altijd naar om zijn geluid te perfectioneren en bracht een reeks genre-vermengende nummers uit zoals 'False Light', 'del*.mp3', 'Avalon', 'Unprepared' en 'My Trip' die zijn status als een van de wereldwijde krachten in dancemuziek verstevigden. Hij bracht zijn meest recente melodieuze vuurwapen "CIDOLEM" uit als een collab met zijn zoon Thomas Newson via Epic247 Recordings. Live ondersteund door Armin van Buuren, Ruben de Ronde, Ferry Corsten en Laura van Dam.

Hij maakte remixess van enkele van de grootste namen in de muziekindustrie; artiesten als Madonna, Nicole Scherzinger, 50 Cent, James Blunt en grote klassieke dancehits als Cafe del Mar, The Age of Love, Papua New Guinea en Loops'n'Tings.

Marco bracht muziek uit op zijn eigen In Charge-label en enkele van de meest prestigieuze en go-to-labels in de industrie, zoals Armada en Spinnin' Recordings. Zijn festivalgeschiedenis is net zo indrukwekkend als hij Mysteryland, Tomorrowland, Global Gathering, Sensation, Creamfelds, Dance Valley, Mayday, Kazantip en Ultra Music Festival Miami afvinkt tot zijn eindeloze en indrukwekkende prestaties.

In 2020 begon Marco te werken aan zijn nieuwe VISION 20/20-project, waarbij hij terugging naar de roots van de technotrance-sound die hij sinds eind jaren negentig heeft helpen vormgeven. Hij nam de belangrijkste elementen van die vroege platen, vertraagde alles een paar BPM en benaderde het productieproces met een nieuwe 'less is more'-houding. Tracks als 'ME/AN', 'WA/VE' en 'What you NE/ED' zijn al opgepikt door een groot aantal hedendaagse frontline-dj's en worden algemeen beschouwd als een nieuwe innovatieve stap naar nieuwe gebieden van deze grensverleggende pionier.

Having been at the forefront of the global techno trance movement for more than two decades now, Marco V’s indisputable position at the helm of the techier side of Dutch dance music continues to soar. Exploding across the burgeoning scene on both homeland and international levels, back in the day Marco’s Southside Spinners project – together with Benjamin Bates – propelled the successfully acquired taste of ‘Luvstruck’ onto the radars of those who mattered, sparking a wave of interest surrounding his name.

This, and later releases like ‘Simulated’ and ‘Godd’ were a pinpoint commission that led to inspire a new generation of DJ/Producers. Always striving to perfect his sound, Marco released a string of genre-blending tracks like ‘False Light’, ‘del*.mp3’ ,’Avalon’ ,’Unprepared’ and ’My Trip’ that cemented his status as one of the global forces in dance music. Releasing his most recent melodic firearm “CIDOLEM” as a collab with his son Thomas Newson via Epic247 Recordings. As supported live by Armin van Buuren, Ruben de Ronde, Ferry Corsten and Laura van Dam.
As a remixer in constant demand, he has reworked music from some of the biggest names in the music industry; artists that include Madonna, Nicole Scherzinger, 50 Cent, James Blunt, and big classic dance hits like Cafe del Mar, The Age of Love, Papua New Guinea and Loops’n’Tings.
Releasing music on his own In Charge imprint as well as some of the industry’s most prestigious and go-to labels like Armada and Spinnin’ Recordings, Marco’s festival history proves equally as impressive as he ticks off Mysteryland, Tomorrowland, Global Gathering, Sensation, Creamfelds, Dance Valley, Mayday, Kazantip and Ultra Music Festival Miami to his endless and impressive achievements.

In 2020 Marco started working on his new VISION 20/20 project, going back to the roots of the techno trance sound he has helped shape since the late nineties. Taking the main elements from those early records, slowing everything down a few BPM and approaching the production process with a newfound ‘less is more’ attitude. Tracks like ‘ME/AN’, ‘WA/VE’ and ‘What you NE/ED’ have already been picked up by a host of todays frontline DJs and are widely considered to be yet another innovative move into new realms from this boundary pushing pioneer.
